Hello LWA Seekers of Greater Well-BEing!
THANKS to everyone who tuned in LIVE this week or watched the recording of Dr. Waxman’s review of the book: INNER EXCELLENCE: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible Life by Jim Murphy. In his book, Jim does an excellent job of delineating how we need to focus on our Inner World. WHY? Our Inner World creates our Outer World. Are we creating a Life of Abundance – or not? He describes becoming unembarrassable, unoffendable, unirritatable. WOW! If we were able to do that, we can add my ultimate “UN” word: UNFLAPPABLE! To quote Eleonor Roosevelt: “No one can offend me without my permission.” And, by Life of Abundance, I’m not just talking about $$$$$. There are TOO many successful, wealthy, UNhappy people.
While Jim Murphy talks about several admirable “UN” words, he got me thinking of several ‘UN” words that can harm us: ungrateful, unforgiving, unkind, unchanging. The most important for me: UNAWARE. We can be unaware that we create the world we live in – with our thoughts. Thoughts are POWERFUL.
THE GOAL: Take full responsibility for our life. One of my new mantras: “I don’t have problems. I have solutions.” Most of my life, I’ve been unaware. I’ve been walking around UNconscious. My subconscious mind is like everyone else’s: it’s running the show. My Ego’s subconscious mind means well, but often runs programs of worry, hurry, stress, lack – trying to protect me. There’s a better way.
THE ANSWER: Consciously creating new improved programs that through repetition will subconsciously run automatically, replacing harmful programs. HOW? If we repetitively think new healthy thoughts, our mind will be reprogrammed to feel and act that way. Instead of unconsciously running the programs of worry, hurry, stress, lack, I now think peace, slow down, joy, abundance, understanding, love. I’m consciously reprogramming my subconscious mind – the ruler of my life – for a life of peace, joy, success in fulfilling my mission.
I’ve talked about the importance of this before: Imagining your FUTURE ME, your FUTURE LIFE, a life of peace, joy, success in carrying out your mission, experiencing the life of abundance God created for you. Guess what? If you do this DAILY, you make better choices, deal with situations better. YOU ARE CREATING A BETTER WORLD – with your thoughts which become reality. When you imagine the new, improved FUTURE ME, you will discover that some things you have been doing are UNacceptable: the worry, the stress, the unforgiveness, the feelings of inadequacy and lack, the righteousness. You will find certain behaviors are UNacceptable:
Not sticking to a fitness routine or food plan
Drinking beverages not conducive to long-term health
Procrastinating on launching or completing a project
______________ (fill in the blank)
EMPHASIS: I am no longer going to tolerate WHAT I AM DOING! Other people will do what they do based on their unawareness, their subconscious programming. It’s not their fault. It’s their programming. WE are Living WELL Aware. We realize our misery is NOT because of them. Our misery is solely due to our reaction to them. People have nothing to do with my misery! I have everything to do with it. We have a CHOICE. We ALWAYS have a choice on how we are going to react to any situation. CHOOSE PEACE!
FINAL THOUGHT: By reading this, it lets me know you are NOT done. You want to learn, to grow, to experience the fullness of life at an even Higher level – the level directed by the Divine. We don’t want to be that person that thinks they already know it all, who thinks they are better than others, who must be “right”. FACT: Many things I thought I knew are wrong. I am not better than anyone. I, and everyone else, are on a journey. Others are where they are because of their genetics, their life circumstances, creating their thinking. I want to be UNwavering in my pursuit of peace, joy, humility, empathy, forgiveness. I definitely don’t want to be known as someone who was always right. I want to be known as someone who was a continual learner, questioning everything, exuding UNconditional LOVE.
THANKS Jim Murphy for reinforcing keys to succeed, that to have a life of fullness we all need LOVE, WISDOM, COURAGE. We need to be Living WELL Aware.
