Patricia J. Sulak, MD is a physician, medical school professor, national speaker, and co-founder of Living WELL Aware LLC. She graduated from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, and then went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Medicine where she was named a Distinguished Alumnus. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and serving in the Army Medical Corp at Darnall Army Hospital Fort Hood Texas, she joined Baylor Scott & White Health and Texas A&M College of Medicine where she has practiced and taught since 1987. She is internationally known for her research in women’s health. Dr. Sulak has been involved in adolescent health since 1995. Her adolescent wellness curricula have been utilized by school districts throughout Texas and beyond. She received the Texas State Board of Education Heroes for Children Award and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Community Service Award for her work in school health. In 2008, she and her husband Jeffrey A. Waxman, MD began their personal and professional pursuit of wellness and created Living WELL Aware, a holistic wellness program covering all aspects of well-being. They speak throughout the country to businesses, organizations, schools, and communities on disease prevention through healthy living, promoting greater livelihood and longevity by taking ownership of our well-being by Living WELL Aware.
